Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic storeperson to join our stores department. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, flexible to work weekends & has had some experience in warehouse or delivery work.
About the role;
Review purchase orders and deliver to the departments as needed.
Maintains appropriate levels of stock required on the island between barge deliveries.
6am start on barge day to help with the stock arriving on island.
Responsible for inventory rotation, safety standards and maintaining accurate records.
Providing exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure accurate administration of all invoices & helping in monthly stocktakes.
Keeping the stores area clean and tidy
Operate forklift in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and safety regulations.
Advise the Purchasing Manager of all operational problems and needs.
Desired Skills and Experience
Operational knowledge of hospitality (hotels, resorts, restaurants) would be an advantage.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Previous forklift, warehouse and delivery experience is highly preferred.
Highly developed organizational and time-management skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
Ability to work a flexible roster – including weekend work
Must have current QLD C car license, forklift license and LR or MR truck license.
Must be eligible to work in Australia.
