Job Description
The Business Development Manager for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and Weddings is pivotal in identifying, nurturing, and converting potential leads into successful events. This role demands a proactive approach in cultivating relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and individuals seeking exceptional venues for weddings and professional gatherings. The executive will leverage market insights, exceptional communication skills, and a strategic mindset to expand the organisation's footprint in the MICE
Implement an effective lead management system, ensuring prompt and professional follow-up on all inquiries for MICE business as directed, received through the website, third-party platforms, and other channels to optimise conversion rates.
Ensure Salesforce is appropriately managed and updated for accurate financial management.
You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with travel agencies, event planners, and other key partners to drive business to the resort. This will involve networking, attending industry events, and fostering strong relationships.
You will need to stay up-to-date on the latest market trends and consumer preferences to ensure that the resort's marketing campaigns are relevant and effective. This may involve conducting market research and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
Managing Budgets: You will be responsible for managing budgets related to sales and marketing activities, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to maximize return on investment.
Monitoring Performance: You will need to monitor the performance of sales and marketing initiatives and adjust strategies as needed to ensure that goals are met.
Liaise closely with internal departments (e.g., event planning, Food & Beverage, Front Office) to guarantee seamless execution of events, serving as the primary contact for clients throughout the event planning and execution process.
