Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef is located in the heart of Queensland’s Whitsunday Islands and the gateway to the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef. With stunning views out to the impossibly blue waters of the Whitsundays, it is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the island. 

The island is one of the closest Whitsunday islands to the mainland (Airlie Beach) with spectacular 30-minute ferry ride to work each day.

Job Description

The Senior Marketing Executive is to initiate, produce and co-ordinate marketing material, strategies, and direction for the Resort, maximising sales, marketing, and promotional opportunities. This role is a hybrid role (two days working from home) and has the flexibility to work from our Sydney location (Chatswood) .  

You will be responsible for: 

  • In partnership with DOSM develop marketing plan and campaigns to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and loyalty.
  • Manage the resort's digital presence across various platforms including website, social media channels, email marketing.
  • Create content and collateral including, social media posts to engage with the target audience and showcase the unique offerings of Daydream Island Resort and Living Reef.
  • Communicate to key stakeholders and regular reporting including campaign metrics using relevant analytical tools
  • Manage all customer review platforms and responses
  • Review and update various external platforms and manage imagery and content
  • Writing and execute eDMs with offers monthly and adhoc/tactical offers
  • Coordinate promotional activities, and partnerships to enhance the resort's visibility and attract new guests
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, and partners to ensure the successful execution of marketing projects within budget and timelines.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the hospitality and tourism industry, and incorporate them into marketing strategies.
  • Uphold the resort's brand standards and values in all marketing communications and initiatives

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

  • Qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field 

  • Previous experience in a marketing role with a proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns, ideally in the hotel industry 

  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills 

  • Design and copyrighting skills favourable
