Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our Front Office team. Reporting directly to the Rooms Division Manager you will provide exceptional service to all our guests.  As a front office professional, you will have the knowledge and experience to guide and assist the front office team to excellence, whilst maintaining the hotels standards.

  • Oversee the daily Front Office operations, including guest arrivals and departures ensuring correct procedures are followed
  • Handle guest enquiries, request, and complaints, with professionalism and care
  • Support other departments in the absence of their managers, ensuring smooth day to day operations across the resort
  • Support and resolve any operational or maintenance issues that may arise during the shift
  • Monitor the daily financial transactions including cash handling and billing
  • Assist in training and developing the team to deliver service excellence
  • Ensure adherence to all resort policies, procedures, and standards to maintain quality at every touchpoint

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Previous Front Office or Duty Manager experience in a hotel or resort environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric approach
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to drive and lead 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of resort operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and Guest Services
  • Excellent problem solving abilities with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Working knowledge with OPERA would be an advantage
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation
  • Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends
  • Must be eligible to work in Australia
