Job Description
We’re looking for a detail-loving Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team in a unique island-based hospitality environment. This is the perfect role for someone who enjoys structure and numbers and ocean views on their lunch break.
As our Accounts Payable Officer, you’ll play a key part in keeping the resort running smoothly behind the scenes. Working closely with the finance team and operational departments, you’ll manage supplier payments, ensure accurate financial records, and support month-end processes. This role suits someone who is organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment where no two days are the same.
About your role:
Processing supplier invoices accurately and on time
Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies
Preparing and processing payment runs
Reconciling supplier statements and handling account queries
Preparing and posting journal entries
Keeping financial records neat, tidy, and audit-ready
Assisting with month-end reporting and audits
Supporting financial controls to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes
Desired Skills and Experience
About you:
Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role
Sun Systems experience is advantageous
Strong attention to detail
Solid understanding of accounting basics and journals
Confidence using accounting systems and Excel
A positive, team-focused attitude and good communication skills
