Job Description
Daydream Island Resort is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Storeperson to join our team in Daydream Island. This part-time position, located within the FIN - Stores department, offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient warehousing, storage, and distribution operations of the resort. As a Storeperson, your responsibilities will include:
Receiving and inspecting incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and quality
Accurately recording all items received into the inventory management system
Organising and storing materials in designated storage areas
Picking and packing orders for internal departments as per requisitions
Performing regular stock checks to maintain accurate inventory levels
Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the storage areas
Assisting with regular stocktaking activities
Adhering to health and safety standards at all times
The successful candidate will possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Previous experience in a warehousing or storeroom environment would be advantageous. Desired Skills and Experience
About you
Operational knowledge of hospitality (hotels, resorts, restaurants) will be an advantage.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Previous forklift, warehouse and delivery experience is highly preferred.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
Flexible availability, including weekend work or public holidays during peak season
Current QLD C class driver's license essential
Forklift license highly regarded.
Must be eligible to work in Australia.
This is a live off-island position. Successful applicants will be required to arrange accommodation in Airlie Beach.
