Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our Front Office team. Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager you will provide exceptional service to all our guests.  As a front office professional, you will have the knowledge and experience to guide and assist the front office team to excellence, whilst maintaining the hotels standards.

This is a live on island position. 

 

  • Oversee the daily Front Office operations, including guest arrivals and departures ensuring correct procedures are followed.
  • Handle guest inquiries, request, and complaints, in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist in managing and resolving any operational or maintenance issues that may arise during the shift
  • Monitor the daily financial transactions including cash handling and billing discrepancies
  • Assist in training and developing the team to maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism
  • Ensure adherence to all Hotel policies, procedures, and standards to maintain a high level of service quality

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience as a Duty Manager or in a similar role within the Hospitality Industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric approach
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to drive and lead our Front Office team
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and Guest Services
  • Proven ability to handle guest concerns and resolve conflicts
  • Working knowledge with OPERA would be an advantage
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation
  • Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends
  • Must be eligible to work in Australia
