Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate chef to join our Island. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our staff enjoy high-quality, wholesome meals during their day. You will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills while maintaining a welcoming and efficient atmosphere. Reporting to our executive Chef, this role allows you to work autonomously showcasing your passion and flair.

About the role…
Plan and prepare a range of healthy and hearty meals for both our live on and live off staff.
Create menus that cater to a diverse range of dietary preferences and needs.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Manage food inventory, place orders and control food costs effectively
Collaborate with the management team to implement improvements and enhance the canteen experience
Desired Skills and Experience
Excellent personal presentation and an eye for detail
Possess a genuine passion for the hospitality industry
Proven ability in delivering quality and consistency to the highest of standards
Understanding of different cultures/cuisines, dietary needs and requirements
Must be eligible to work in Australia
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or relevant experience in cooking for large numbers
