Job Description
As the Director of Finance at Daydream Island Resort, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of strategic and operational tasks, aimed at ensuring the financial stability and success of the resort.
What you will do:
Overseeing all aspects of the finance department, including budget management, financial reporting, and forecasting.
Developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
Leading financial planning efforts to support the long-term growth and sustainability of the resort.
Collaborating with senior management to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations.
Managing relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax advisors, and banking institutions.
Monitoring cash flow, investment activities, and financial performance to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Supervising a team of finance professionals to ensure efficiency and accuracy in daily operations.

Desired Skills and Experience
What you will bring:
Proven experience as a Director of Finance or similar role
In-depth knowledge of financial management, accounting, and reporting
Demonstrated experience within a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment
Strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation
Excellent leadership and management skills
Strategic thinking with strong decision-making capability
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide insights for business improvement
Demonstrated experience in budgeting and forecasting processes
Proficiency in financial software Sun Systems, MS Office, particularly Excel
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or relevant field; MBA or CPA qualification is preferred
