An exceptional opportunity exists for an experienced hospitality leader to join the leadership team at Daydream Island Resort as our Director of Operations.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the operational leadership of the Resort's day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional island experience while delivering outstanding commercial performance.

This is a hands-on role for a passionate leader who thrives in a resort environment, develops high-performing teams, and drives operational excellence.

About the role

As Director of Operations, you will oversee the Resort's operational departments, including, Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Kitchen Operations, Activities &  Retail.

Working closely with the General Manager you will provide leadership across the Resort, champion service excellence, optimise financial performance, and foster a positive and engaged workplace culture. You will also act as the General Manager during periods of leave or absence, ensuring the continued successful operation of the Resort.

• Deliver departmental budgets, labour targets and profitability objectives.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction, quality and presentation.
• Oversee health, safety, compliance and risk management across operational departments.
• Analyse business performance and implement strategies to maximise revenue and operational efficiencies.
• Develop and mentor leaders while building succession capability throughout the business.
